around 60 children aged between seven and 11 had spent six weeks practising favourites including Once In Royal David's City and Silent Night for the Corringham Winter Festival, but were then told they could not sing them as "they were to Christian!" now is it just me? I always thought Christmas was a Christan festival, Father David Rollins, of St John the Evangelist Church in Corringham, added: 'It's rather disappointing. Christmas is a major Christian event.' but not for the PC brigade, they always win! and in another act of "I can not believe it!"
The Rev Stephen Coulter has banned the singing of the Christmas carol, O Little Town of Bethlehem from his services, the reason? he has been there and says that it is war torn, well I suppose if he had not have visited it would be alright to sing it then!
