It Is Not Our Car!

said Sergeant Tony Smith, of Weymouth police,

it was spotted parked in Dorset, not only on two yellow lines, (£60 fine), but also it's tax disc was 23 days out of date, (£60 fine), the police claim that the car was up for sale, so although the police do not pay tax on official vehicles the tax disc must show that the car is legal, they did not re tax it, so they are guilty by their own admission that they did not apply for a SORN, a spokesman for the DVLA said: 'Vehicles should have a valid tax disc at all times, if the police have failed to display one then the only body who can prosecute that matter is the police themselves, if the vehicle isn't being re-licensed then it should be off road and the owner must get a Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN), it is an £80 fine for failing to do so', the writer of the article failed to spot one other infraction, it has parked on the pavement, also I believe a £60 fine, of course the police said 'the reason why there was no tax disc on this vehicle is because it is coming up to being sold and it was not being used for police purposes, so it so far has not been sold, it does not have a SORN, it is still then the legal property of the police, so I must remember that one as it worked for the Dorset police,

'hello, hello, whats this ear then, tax disc 23 days out of date?'

'I was going to sell the car, honest I was, go on let me off, the birds are singing, the sky is blue, it's a lovely day!' some chance!
