Up Early And To The Fish Shop,

Mick wanted to put a few more fish in his aquariums,
we went to the shop on Third Road,
they sell birds as well so I guess you could call it a fish and cheep shop, oh that was terrible! the guppies are kept in these round cement tubes, they are normally used to make a water course underground,
lots of fish in conventional aquariums as well, so many to chose from,
the fish here are clown knife fish, theses are the ones used to make fish cakes that have the red and green peppers in them, yummy!
I went to the IT Center, the rechargeable batteries for the camera were not holding their charge so I wanted to purchase 4 new ones, but a bit of air for the bike first,
then one the way back I called in to see Mick, Mass and the fish,
Mass was also entertaining Anchisa,
then back to 388 when Jay and Precil called in for a cup of tea and a chat,
all to soon it was off to the Friday night market,
we were a bit early but it soon got busy,
shoes down to 120 baht,
some really nice hand painted side lamps,
with fish on them as well,
by now Mick had decided to buy some plants for his aquarium,
50 baht each or 5 for 200 baht, bargain!
he also decided to buy a Siamese Fighting Fish, (Betta Splendens)
they are available in a large variety of shapes,
and colours,
this was the one Mick decided on, 280 baht but eventually 250 for cash,
the fighters are displayed in small tanks,
we were joined by Mark and Anchisa along with Mike and Riza, Mike has been a bit under the weather for the past few weeks but is on the mend now,
Mass, Diana, Anchisa and Riza after a successful shopping fest!
then back to 388 for our evening meal in the background we had on a couple of steam train documentaries first a Hundred Years Of British Trains,
followed by Trains Remembered, the sad part is I do remember them, especially the Brighton Belle even though it was electric some times the tractor unit would be replaced by steam, some of the carriages I believe are now still being used on the Orient Express,
whilst we were watching all of this the girls were preparing a feast for themselves,
Mick, Mike and Mark,
and the girls having a tuck in, all to soon off to bed, what a busy day.
