We Continued Our Search For A New Crock Pot,

next on the list of stores to go to was CareFour in Central Road,
outside the entrance the two dragons made from driftwood were still on display,
much to our relief they had some in stock, we wanted the 4.5 liter one, 880 baht, surprisingly it was cheaper than the smaller 3 liter one, how strange, so a quick trip to Swensen's to celebrate with an ice cream,
and this is what it looks like, crock on the right cooker on the left,
first thing in the morning load it up with meat, potatoes, carrots and onions, a bit of flavoring including a helping of genuine Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, plug in and walk away, in the evening about 20 minuets before serving add some celery and Atora suet dumplings, delicious!
the business bit, off, low, high, auto, put it on auto and forget it for the day, just one thing, make sure you are going out for the day, after a few hours it starts to smell so delicious you want to eat it for lunch! after we returned Phil called round in the afternoon with some of the stamps that I had been buying, so I settled down and started collating them,
next thing the Secrets taxi arrived and we were off to meet Slim Jim in Cherries,
Diana had one of her new dresses on and very nice she looked too,
the new Slim Jim with is starters,
a quick shot of the selection of desserts,
salad bar,
row after row of main courses,
Diana with a selection of main courses,
by now we had moved on to desserts,
and very nice they were too,
'Cheers!' a lovely evening out with Slim Jim, and great food too, the International buffet only on a Wednesday is 295 baht each, but get there early or be prepared to wait for a table if you do not book, last night it was packed, not a spare table to be seen,
then back to the Secrets taxi, passing a mobile shoe shop on the way, home feet up and Poirot to round off the evening, The Underdog first, invited to the home of chemical company CEO Rueben Astwell for dinner and to view Mr. Astwell's collection of Belgian miniatures, Poirot finds Astwell universally disliked and shortly thereafter murdered, as usual so many suspects, but who is it? followed by Yellow Iris, one is mysteriously left on his doorstep, which unnerves our unusually unflappable detective, but why? then off to bed.
