The Mini Is Evolving Again,

from it's first production model, like this one as it rolled off the production line in 1959 through to the rebirth of later models,
starting with the standard Mini One leading to the Cabriolet, the Clubman estate and the Countryman off-roader, a new model will be released at the Geneva Motor Show next week, the Mini Rocketman, it is a three-door hatchback that is about a foot shorter than the current model, there is also a throwback to the original Mini with double-hinge door joints, while the tailgate splits to help with luggage,

the three-cylinder engine will be able to produce a remarkable 94 miles to the gallon with CO2 emissions low enough to exempt it from road tax and the London congestion charge, strangely enough the original model was 10ft long, but the Rocketman will still be about 10% longer than the original, measuring 11ft 3in, we must have been smaller when it was first produced!
