Of All Of The Motorcycles I Have Driven Or Owned,

the one I liked the best, was a Vincent, it appears I am not alone, Stuart Jenkinson paid £385 for his Vincent Black Prince motorcycle in 1955,
and 56-years later he is still on the road with it, traveling more than 700,000 miles together, Mr Jenkinson has taken the bike through Germany, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Czechoslovakia, Montenegro, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Hungary and Greece, His longest tour was a three-week mountain jaunt to Greece that clocked up more than 2,355 miles out of its current total of 721,703, but the time has come for him to hang up his leathers, it is going under the hammer and is expected to sell in £40,000 range, I just hope who ever buys it uses it, it is such a nice delight to hear a Vincent on the open road.

The Vincent in the second picture has disk brakes, he must have changed the front wheel. - Alan

Dear Alan, I guess more than a few modifications have been done to the bike over the years, I imagine that fully loaded even the original twin front drums would have had a job coping with all of the luggage on the bike, but just think over 700,000 miles, now that is a keen motorcyclist! best regards, Stan and Diana
