Is It Me,

or is this story a bit quakers? 14 ducklings were found with out a mother on the River Ancholme, I guess she had been killed by a fox or what ever, so instead of letting nature take it's course, the RSPCA swing into action, calling in wait for it! five fire engines and two lifeboats to rescue ducklings, I am all for helping pets out, but these cute though they may be are basically wild animals, how would it be if every time a cute deer/antelope was to be eaten by a lion or crocodile the film crew shot the croc?

the group manager of the Scunthorpe Fire And Rescue Service, said: 'this type of rescue can also be used for training purposes, we also brought a rescue sled and the two men on the water were in full waterproof suits,' I wonder how quickly they could have moved to a real emergency with all of the crews up and down the river?
