Up At 06.00,

and into the taxi at 07.00,
to the Philippine Embassy at 09.30,
we had to pick up Diana's new passport, it took just a couple of minutes, then to Chatuchak Weekend Market,
having said weekend the pet side of the market opens every day, but on Mondays even some of those close,
but we found one or two shops still open,
like this one,
we took a walk around as being Monday there were very few people here, this is a look along one of the aisles,
another fish shop open,
in the center of the market is this shrine,
it forms a sort of roundabout where the aisles meet up,
as we had plenty of time we took a stroll along to some of the shops we do not normally go to,
like this one selling fancy goods,
mostly made of wood,
next a hand bag shop,
and a shop for would be sailors,
a light and water feature all in one,
then back to look at some more fish shops,
a quick snack of some fresh fruit,
we then walked past a smaller shrine in the pet side of the market,
next home to put a few new fish into one of our aquariums,
all too soon, glad rags on for a lobster supper at Cherry's,
Diana all dressed up and ready to go,
Secrets taxi as usual,
Cherry's have brought back their Monday evening lobster special, Diana just had to try it!
first a complementary fish starter,
Diana looking as lovely as ever with her earrings and necklace,
then on to the starters, two rock lobsters and two huge prawns for Diana, baked salmon on asparagus for myself,
a salad course next for Diana,
when then had a lemon sorbet,
before starting on the main course, lobster for Diana, a quick 'Cheers!, from us both,
a steak for myself,
Diana's lobster, there was plenty of it,
and 'Cheers!' from me and my steak,
new signs have been put up at the rear and front of the restaurant, I took this picture through the window as we were waiting for the desserts,
I was so full so no dessert for me, but Diana ordered a tiramisu and nice it was too,
all in all a great meal, all that Diana had came to the set price of 545 baht, mine was a little higher but still under 600 baht, fabulous food for reasonable prices, we will be back! then home in the taxi for us, we watched a little bit of a film on Sohpon cable but then decided to call it a night so for us it was off to bed.
