Today We Were Off To The Central Festival Shopping Mall,

going to the pictures,

we were going to have a ride on one of the 4D rides we love so much, but then we were given one of these,

it was a leaflet for a ride on a 5D machine,

and it was only 200 baht, the rides for the 4D had risen to 250 each, lack of customers I guess, also in the months since we were last here no extra rides have been added, so if you have tried all of the ones that are on offer there is no need to try them again,

but back to the 5D, it is basically a shoot them up type of game, you have to help bring an evil empire to its knees by controlling a gun shooting at balloons and skeletons, great fun especially with Diana screaming and laughing as our space ship repeatedly seemed to do a loop de loop! then to watch the film,

Johnny English Reborn, in his latest adventure, the most unlikely intelligence officer in Her Majesty's Secret Service must stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos, in this adventure there is as you might expect lots if sight gags, many so funny, worth every baht of the entrance fee,

after that we called in to Wattana Computer Center to see if my scanner had been repaired, yes and no was the answer, the scanner appeared to be OK, the transformer was not, a new transformer should be here in a day or two so back to scanning normal then,

next stop a food market,

lots of precooked food to chose from,

as well as some deep fried dishes,

some fresh pineapple for this evening,

naturally a new top, or two,

there were lots of other goods for sale as well, though we seldom go to the back of this market,

I called into the hardware store as well for a couple of light bulbs as one in the front garden had failed,

whilst I was over the road Diana had continued shopping,

but we still had a bit to go, some fresh mango's for the afternoon,

we decided against the fish on a stick,

 some rice,

then home feet up for a few DVDs, the first The War File - War in the Trenches, only after watching a DVD like this can you start to understand the true horrors of the first World War, take just one thing a gas attack, I had always thought that after a day or two in agony you died, but countless poor souls took four or even five weeks of agony before they passed away, what terrible times they were,

the final part of Richard Hammond's Invisible World's was next, the microscopic world of bugs and viruses, I never knew a sneeze could go so far,

for our film a great favorite of mine, Rare Birds, Dave is down, his wife lives in Washington, D.C.; his restaurant, the Auk, in an out-of-the-way Newfoundland inlet, dieing, an odd-duck of a neighbor, Phonce, contrives to keep Dave in town by faking and reporting the sighting of a rare bird, I really liked this conversation when a photo was published of the rare duck and Dave was worried some one might blow up the picture and find it was a fake,
Phonce: 'Dave who is going to blow up the picture? the International Bird Police? Interbird?' a great music soundtrack makes this feel good movie even better,

we finished the evening with MI5, episode #9.3, the Home Secretary orders Harry to support a Russian plan to stop the Azakstan Freedom Front from obtaining a deadly biological weapon that was supposed to have been destroyed in the 1960s, but was all of it destroyed? episode #9.4, a Chinese hit team arrives in the UK, the CIA station chief says they know of no reason why the team might be in the UK and MI-5 determines that their interest is likely a British-designed water desalination system, but is it? finally for this evening, or I should say early morning, episode #9.5, London is to host secret Middle East peace talks chaired by the President of the United States, but many want the talks to fail, even at the cost of their lives, then for us it was off to bed.
