We Had A Quick Call In To Immigration First Thing,

but the floods of yesterday meant we had to take a torturous route to get to Soi 5 in Jomtien,

there were still large pools of water blocking the roads, whilst at immigration I chatted to a friend of ours Barry who was there and a near neighbour who said exactly that I had thought, in the 12 years that I have lived in 388 this is the first time water has come into the house Barry agreed it was about then 12 years ago just before I moved there that his house flooded, I just hope it does not happen any time soon again, it also appears that from various comments on other blog sites this was considered to be the worst storm in town for the past 6 years at least, but visit over we went to the Surf kitchen for breakfast,

as you go into the restaurant they always have a nice display of flowers in a bowl as you walk in,

it must take more than a little time and trouble to make the display,

today two bowls of floating flowers,

no prizes for guessing what we ordered spaghetti bolognese for Diana and a prawn cocktail for myself along with two ice coffees

whilst at immigration we bumped into Alex, so he also joined us for a bite to eat,

looking across the road to the sea, the normally blue waters in the bay had turned a muddy brown,

I guess in a few days time every thing will return to normal, but I guess after the worst storm in years a lot of sediment must have been washed into the bay,

our next stop was to Home Works, the water purifier under the sink had developed a leak, also the filters were due for their 6 monthly change, so an engineer should be calling round tomorrow to fix the leak and change the filters, also I bought a couple of covers for my ever expanding stamp collection, naturally we also looked at our dream television, the 55" Samsung Smart 3D LED, one thing I still do not under stand about though is that in Thailand VAT is 7%, in the UK VAT is 20% so I would have though that the television would be cheaper here, but that is not so, in any event we will wait for the new models from Samsung to be released next year in the hope that the one we really like will go down in price,

after returning home and finishing our evening meal we settled down for a comedy The Men Who Stare at Goats, it was an interesting film, but not really that funny, the basic plot was that a reporter, trying to lose himself in the romance of war after his marriage fails, gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to end war as we know it,

then another from MI5, in episode #8.3 a terrorist group takes control of a group of very rich entrepreneurs who are meeting secretly in London, streaming the proceedings over the Internet and asking viewers to vote on whether they should be executed or not, the first is fund guilty, but will the kidnappers do what they say they will? followed by episode #8.4, the MI-5 team is still recovering from the loss of one of their own, then American, agent Sarah Caulfield's superior, learns of her affair with Lucas North and he encourages her to continue the relationship as he suspects Lucas is a double agent, but is he?

I have not put anything else on the blog today as I am anticipating a busy day shopping first then having let the 'office' dry out and hearing a loud electrical bang when it flooded I am going to see if the monitor, computer, printer, scanner, external drives etc work when I plug them all back in, hopefully it will not be a trip to the repair shop! but after the last MI5 we were off to bed.
