As A Matter Of Fact,

they had not gone very far,

just across the road to look at some more of the gardens,

and some of the flowers there,

Donna has a pose,

and another one,

then Sandio and Diana join in,

the highest public point of the park,

looking down along a water course,

we stopped by this temple,

that had mythical figures guarding its hand rails,

I am not sure what they are,

but they looked suitably menacing,

one of the many palm trees in the gardens,

it looks harmless enough till you look closer and see how sharp the spines are, you can see how being blown in the wind they have damaged the next new leaf,

although the sky looked clear,

a storm was coming through, there was more than a few rumbles of thunder, but luckily the storm past us by,

this was an interesting tree, it was a Ficus religiosa, it is described as the tree under which Lord Buddha was found when he found enlightenment, the actual tree being in Northern India,

we continued our drive past various bonsai trees,

many being supported by turtles,

then into the Jurassic Park type area,

with frilled lizards looming everywhere,

we were making our way back to the central area past the gardens shrine,

here it is with fresh offerings,

to the section where you can dress up in Thai traditional costumes,

Sandio was starting to get ready,

along with Dioshane,

they both looked the part,

Sandio was very serious,

Dioshane thought it was all funny,

but very nice she looked too,

then it was Donna's turn watched by Albert,

two sisters together,

Donna,

and Dioshane,

next stop was to buy some tickets for an elephant ride,

the ride starts just opposite one of the restaurant areas where the aquatic display is,

no prizes for guessing who is going on the ride,

it is going to be,

a worried looking Dioshane,

and a smiling Sandio,

and they are off, all smiles now,

picking up speed they are soon out of sight,

after 20 minuets or so they were back, at this point I rapidly started backing away from the elephant, it does not look it in the view finder but it was really close!

it then got closer still,

so I decided on a shot from the side,

as they past,

I think everyone else thought my frantic efforts to get away from being trampled by an elephant slightly amusing,

Sandio and Dioshane enjoyed the ride immensely,

then past the elephants compound to our truck,

looking at the corn sculpture on the way,

it is very popular with the local birds as you might guess, the admission to the gardens is 500 baht for foreigners and 200 baht for Thai nationals, then on to our next port of call.
