Now On To The Grande Finale,

and the evening,

the show starts with a boy carrying a globe,

which the dragon has to follow,

but if you want to watch the show rather than look at the pictures here is a video that Diana made of it,

then the dragon makes its way across that car park,

breathing smoke,

to the sound of the accompanying band,

as it twists and turns,

there were even a few sparklers coming from its mouth,

the dragon coiled up,

in front of the temple in the car park,

before making it's way to the table inside,

then three times round the temple,

the circuits completed,

it was then into the outside part of the store,

and back to the main car park,

for the next part of the show,

the dragon stretched out to it's full length,

it was so long it did not all fit into the picture,

who's a pretty boy then?

a few more turns around the car park,

then let the main show begin,

the steel climbing pole,

and the bamboo pole were brought out,

fireworks tied to the pole exploded,

and the ascent of the pole began,

they all make it look so easy,

but it is not without it's dangers,

safety harnesses,

are de rigueur,

the dragon makes its way up the pole,

being helped by acrobats already on the pole,

meanwhile one of the boys is on top of the bamboo pole,

and is lifted into the air,

along with the globe,

that he teases the dragon with,

he looks determined to conquer the dragon,

again,

and again the dragon nearly gets the globe,

but finally,

Victory!

as the dragon vents its anger,

in a shower of sparks,

and smoke,

which changed colour,

the boy with the globe,

was safely lowered to the ground,

the dragon slowly made its way,

down to ground level,

where the youngster with the globe gave it a merry dance,

for a few more circles around the car park,

the dragon came to a rest in front of the building,

before returning to the temple,

the boys with the globe,

taking a well earned rest,

we said goodbye to the dragon,

and made our way outside to where some of the souvenir sellers were,

I popped over the road to the Kodak shop,

to have a few prints made,

meanwhile Diana was buying some food,

we spotted this floral arch on the back of a truck as we returned to the bike,

no sooner were we home than a quick shower later and we were out again,

to the Thepprasit Road weekend night market, still yellow skies looking towards Jomtien,

but nice and blue looking inland,

opposite the bar this evening a secondhand hand stall, everything must go at 50 baht per item and a stall selling handbags at 150 baht each,

the food stalls not so crowded this evening,

almost empty compared to a few weeks ago,

 the pet section almost deserted,

it is still cold out here so in the dog part of the stalls there are still lots of dog coats for sale,

for a whole family of different sized dogs,

and for us lots of colourful slippers,

 sunset over the market,

only a couple of customers at the bar this evening,

we were joined tonight by Brian and Sa along with her Mum,

some one very special, new born Nicky, after saying our farewells we made a move home, after our evening meal a couple from Columbo and we were off to bed.
