We Were Up And Out Early,

as we were going to visit Art In Paradise,

it is an art show we have visited before, at this stage I was thinking of doing my Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfaimpression when I saw the size sign for free admission, well we were going to an art show, but I decided against it, I should mention that I have split this post into 2 parts as there are so many pictures, when you reach the bottom of the page just hit the 'older post' button,

although we were early, they was already a queue in front of us when the doors opened at 09.00,

 Dioshane, playing an angel,

if you have never been here before there is a series of paintings that look like you are entering the pictures themselves, but first shoes off, you are given a ticket to retrieve your shoes when you exit the exhibition,

well who would not want to be on the cover of Time magazine?

 Dioshane and Diana certainly did,

this wall looks like it has broken to revel treasures inside,

but is is in fact a 2 dimensional painting,

there are lots of optical illusions featured in the galleries,

 great fun!

but most are like this, where a part of the painting leaves the frame that you can then interact with,

I hate to say it, but I think you need a bigger piece of paper!

there are few paintings where a wall breaks to reveal a underwater scene,

and the inhabitants seem to come alive,

feeding a fish to the dolphin, whatever next?

of course Sandio was not to be out done, taking on a shark,

 look out behind you!

now how do we put the whale back in the sea?

brother and sisters, Sandio, Doishane and Diana,

 Sandio goes fishing,

 whilst Dioshane,

gives a clown trigger fish, (Balistoides conspicillum) a kiss,

Mum chills out with a polar bear,

 then it is Doishan's turn,

 next stop Africa, with elephants,

 and giraffes,

 this one having a drink,

but look out, crocodiles in those waters!

 big ones,

a quick pose with one of the tribesman,

but careful of the big cats in the trees,

the art work is so good,

all of the pictures look so real in their own right,

as you might guess everyone was having a great time,

 a nice family picture,

 Sandio in the tree,

 and nearly dropping a painting,

 tea anyone?

 another painting to relax in,

 a stairway to where?

 both Dioshane,

and Sandio make their way up and down it,

Mum keeps out of the rain,

the paintings are so neat, now where is Sandio?

 I might have guessed!

 next off across the river,

 oops, nearly slipped off,

and the bridge does not look too safe,

 but everybody made it,

then to the one time capitol of Thailand,

it is ancient capital city of Thailand, situated about 76 kilometers, north of Bangkok,

the kingdom of Ayutthaya had been the capital of Thailand for 417 years between 1350 - 1767 with 33 kings of five dynasties ruling the successive kingdom,

but then the capitol moved to what is now known as Bangkok,

Dioshane poses by the big tree,

and the family in a lily pool, if you want to see more of the trip just click the 'older post' button.
