Some Of The Pepper/Chili Seeds,

we planted last week,

have actually sprouted, so we popped over the the weekend plant market to buy a few pots for them, to find it if you are leaving Pattaya to go to Bangkok as you pass the Bangkok Pattaya hospital on your left take the next 'U' turn and the market will be on the left, there is lots of parking space behind it,

a Norfolk Island pine, (Araucaria heterophylla), it looks cute here but grows to a height of 50–65 meters,

new to us for this visit a colourful water feature,

 naturally a quick look,

 at the aquatic stall,

 lots of roses this week,

 they must be in season,

 like these waterlilies,

in case you have a large garden at the far end of the market bigger specimens are sold,

so big the seller can pull up a chair to have a snooze waiting for the customers in the shade,

I was amazed at how big these eggplants or aubergines as they are called were,

given the size of the plant,

we made our way back along the next aisle,

passing some of the more colourful stalls,

 like this one selling chrysanthemums,

as we are eating at home tomorrow we decided to buy a couple of bunches of cut orchids,

 20 baht a bunch, bargain!

a few stalls further along was the cactus stall,

70 baht each, 3 for 200 baht, so I bought 3 and another one that was priced at 200 baht but reduced to 150 baht,

as I mentioned before, it must be the season for waterlilies, they were everywhere,

I also had a look at another aquatic stall,

there were a few new stalls this week like this one, selling wooden furniture,

after an ice coffee we made a move for home, I will leave the seedlings a little longer before transferring some of them to bigger pots,

the new cactus are in the square pots, the start of another mini cactus garden,

the orchids look so nice and all for 40 baht,

Mr. Tony called round in the afternoon and kindly brought some more gravel that I liked for topping the surface of the cactus pots, we chatted the afternoon away, after saying our goodbyes it was time for our Saturday evening candle lite bar-b-q, Cheers!'

indoors Diana had cooked some prawns wrapped in bacon for our first starter,

which was going to be followed by some garlic bread,

 but first lite the bar-b-q,

which this evening was remarkably well behaved,

 soon the charcoal was glowing,

 so on with the bread,

 and on to our plates,

 another 'Cheers!', from me,

the steaks we have had in the past have been very hit or miss, regarding flavor and how chewy they are, more miss in fact, so we did say we would avoid steaks in the future, but then we thought we would give them one last try, but as a precaution Diana had wrapped another surprise item up in foil just in case the steaks were not so good,

 and this was the surprise,

a fillet of fresh salmon, which Diana had wrapped in foil with some lemon and seasoning, it unlike the steak was delicious, once again we both said, 'no more steaks for Saturday nights',

 next another surprise,

a crepe topped with strawberries and fresh cream,

then drizzled with chocolate sauce,

that definitely got the thumbs up from me,

and what better way to use up the last of the fresh cream, an Irish coffee or three, we spent the evening listening to music till about 11.00 in the evening then indoors for one episode of Rumpole, next we were off to bed.
