How Do You Make A Sports Car Go Really Fast,

and stop just as quickly?

get it to loses some weight and that is exactly what Alfa Romeo have done with their new new 4C Spider, weighting in at just 2,487 pounds it weighs what most other super sports car manufactures can only dream of, one of the greatest weight savings comes from using carbon fibre instead of using steel for it's chassis, which for it's price of just $63,900 gives great value for money in the performance stakes, 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds with stopping and handling to match, it appears that the problem with many sports cars is the curse of mankind, obesity, many manufactures have taken to bigger engines to increase performance which means bigger, (and heaver) brakes, suspension and chassis to cope with the increase in weight, just one example, the first Porsche 911 weighed in at 2,300 pounds, fast forward to now, a tad under 3,500 pounds! and we are back where we started, to increase performance a bigger engine may be required, etc, so back to Alfa Romeo, what a great way to increase all round performance at a reasonable cost, strangely enough I do remember seeing a program where one or two manufactures sold a stripped out version of their sports car, you actually paid more to get less! would I like one? you bet! and no I am not on commission!
