Taken On December 10th,

NASA's Dawn spacecraft,

took this pictures amongst others as it was in its lowest and finalorbit at dwarf planet Ceres, at an approximate altitude of 240 miles (385 kilometres), which is its lowest-ever orbital altitude, Dawn will remain at this altitude for the rest of its mission, and indefinitely afterwards, the mission is currently funded until June 2016, hopefully assuming all is still working funds can become available to continue mapping the surface, as an aside if you do follow the link have a look for some of those old fashioned red and blue 3D glasses, there is a 3D picture in the article.
