Meet Mr. Snowman,

well he has not got a name,

but he does have a title,

the world's smallest snowman, created by Western Nanofabrication Facility, at only 3 microns tall, the snowman was fabricated from three 0.9-micron silica spheres stacked by using electron beam lithography, the snowman's eyes and mouth were etched with a focused ion beam, whereas the nose and arms were sculpted with platinum, to give a better sense of scale a 'micron' is an abbreviated term for "micrometer", or a millionth of a meter (1/1,000,000 meters), this is about .00004 inches, for size comparison, a human red blood cell is about 5 microns across, a human hair is about 40 to 50 microns across (depending on the person), bacteria can be between about .2 microns and 3 microns in size, so lets just say he is small!
