with a wonderful difference,
as each of the 100 pages is removed and used,
the paper remaining,
unveils a building,
produced by Japanese company Triad, whose main line
of business is producing architectural models, the Omoshiroi Blocks feature various notable architectural
sites in Japan like Kyoto’s Kiyomizudera Temple, Tokyo’s Asakusa Temple and
Tokyo Tower,
the blocks are composed of over 100 sheets of paper and each sheet is different from the next, the Omoshiroi Blocks are quite expensive and range from around 4,000 yen to 10,000 yen, depending on their size, (at today's rate £28.10 or $35.56 to £70.23 or $88.90),
having previously said that the blocks expose buildings,
I should also mention that other objects can be bought, like this piano,
or camera,
getting your hands on one will be tricky for the time being, as they’re currently only available at the Tokyu Hands Osaka location, (and please check they are in stock before visiting), but you can keep up with updates from the company by following them on Instagram, and my idea for the company? make the paper a tad thinner and produce one for 365 days, a perfect count down for the next New Year, and what a great Christmas present!
