Fritz Lang tried to answer that question in Metropolis, way back in 1927, some say he may well have predicted the true future in many counties now, but I digress, I read an interesting article by Tim
Maughan in One Zero, in the article he points out a few films where social problems and storylines are remarkably close to what has, and is, actually happening now, a nice little read.
