as I typed the blog,
the fox was having 40,
but he soon woke up when the peanuts hit the ground, also one of the crows called by, in the morning Steve called in for a coffee and a chat, after he left,
as Diana was at work, I had a day in the garden, I had thought about going for a trip to one of the parks in London, but it was just so hot,
a book, some music, a bucket full of larger and some sliced limes, my day was complete,
in the late afternoon Diana called and we decided to meet on her way home from work, so off to the bus stop for me,
I made my way to Bromley, and walked past this restaurant, the outside reminded me of many of the public houses in the 1950s and 1960s that had these or similar green tiles on the facade of them,
as I neared the art deco Bromley Picture House,
I found the restaurant where we had arranged to meet, the Sanxia Chinese restaurant, they have a number of outlets, we chose the one in Bromley as it was on Diana 's way home from work, as it happened I was lucky with the bus and arrived before Diana,
a pre meal nibble,
some prawn crackers,
we chose three dishes for our starters, salted spareribs,
spring rolls,
and satay chicken,
on to our main course, plain boiled rice, with crispy beansprouts,
do not drop the beansprouts!
for our main course three different types of meat, roast pork, duck and crispy pork belly,
as it was so hot, a chilled bottle of prosecco, Diana had a mango juice and a coke,
I try to keep our blog politics free, but I have to say 'Well Done Boris!' actually to UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak, "This moment is unique. We need to be creative," UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak said Wednesday, July 8, as he laid out a package of COVID-19 support for businesses. And the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, aimed at boosting the hospitality sector, is certainly creative: the government will pay 50% of diners' bills for the whole of August if they eat at an eligible pub, restaurant, or café.
The government allowed pubs and restaurants to reopen Saturday, July 4, after three months in lockdown, and more than 1.4 million workers in the accommodation and food sector have been temporarily laid off — or "furloughed" — during the COVID-19 crisis. The new scheme, Sunak said, would get "customers back into restaurants, cafes and pubs, and protect the 1.8 million people who work in them."
The government will pay £10 ($12.65) per head for meals Monday to Wednesday, the Eat Out to Eat Out scheme will entitle every diner — including children — to a 50% discount of up to £10 ($12.65) per person on their meal. You can use it Monday through Wednesday for every week from August 3 to 31, and it only applies for dine-in meals, there is no limit on the number of times you can use the discount, the discount has a few exceptions, not being available on alcohol is one, or service charge are two, but there it is on our bill a £20 discount, many thanks Boris!!!!
we looked back to the cinema, as we walked to the bus stop, it has to be said that the eat out scheme is working, in the High Street every pub that sold food and restaurant had a queue of diners outside, waiting for a table and there are lots of pubs and restaurants in the High Street!
we made our way back home where it was feet up for a nightcap, one from New Tricks, one from Silent Witness and we were then of to bed.
