so I decided to treat him,
as soon as he heard me open the window,
he was waiting,
and his special treat?
Tesco sausage rolls, yummy!
then one of the cubs arrived for a treat for himself,
as Diana had worked 6 days last week and was scheduled to work anther 6 days this week, we decided to eat Sunday lunch out, no cooking for Diana on her day off, so glad rags on,
and we were off to Elmers End,
the pub/restaurant had a wonderful display of flowers out side,
the name of the pub? The Elm Tree, we had passed it so many times but never actually called in,
so today was the day, 'Cheers!',
for our starter we shared these huge prawns, with fresh bread and a garlic sauce,
on to our main meal, lamb sans gravy for myself,
half a chicken for Diana,
with lashings of gravy, unlike the Toby carvery, here you have to chose just one meat, but there was so much of it,
we tackled the desserts the other way around, coffees first,
a Jamaican for myself, a latte for Diana,
followed by a shared home made tiramisu, we were full to bursting, the total came to £60.60,
on the way back by bus we noticed that there was not the normal queue outside of Deen's Garage, but then it was closed,
after we arrived home a real treat, Steve and Kai called round with some more of their home grown produce, there was so much of it, as well as one of my favorites, fresh green beans,
here was another one, fresh sweetcorn, most people I guess like the corn cooked,
but for myself fresh from the cob, and other than standing in the garden, it does not come much fresher than this! many thanks to Steve and Kai, after we said our farewells we watched some television and then our film for the late evening,
Annihilation, after a meteorite falls a 'no go' zone appears and is getting bigger by the year, enter the fearless crew to determine what it is all about, slow in places but very watchable, and with the end of that we were off to bed.
