first thing in the morning,
for a few peanuts,
and to explore the garden table,
someones coming!
false alarm,
we were soon ready for our Sunday roast,
for starters chicken liver pate, with lots of fresh salad provided by Steve and Kai,
'Cheers!',
for our main course roast lamb,
despite the slight drizzle,
a cricket match that we could just see was taking place,
time for dessert, a Victoria sponge,
another 'Cheers!', from me,
the rain got worse and the match was abandon,
as usual for us on a Sunday afternoon, we watched a couple more from the sci-fi box, the first Lost Jungle, as a
bonus animal trainer Clyde Beatty plays himself as he heads a rescue party in
search of his girl, Ruth, and her father who get lost looking for an uncharted
island, a good job that the RSPCA were not on the set, is about the best thing I
can say about it, but apart from that still good ‘B’ movie fun,
then a real treat, Mesa of Lost Women, take a mad scientist, spiders, dwarfs and a three piece Mexican band and what do you have? a scientist who wants to make super women! so bad it is almost good!
after lunch and our film fest, Steve and Kai arrived it was Steve's birthday,
not only did they bring a bottle of bubbly and cake, but also lots more produce from their garden,
we sung a rousing chorus of 'Happy Birthday',
Steve had a couple of presents,
the happy couple,
time for the candles,
not quite as many as Steve's years,
time for a pose,
and one for Steve,
all smiles,
and of course in these times that we now live in,
no blowing out the candles, wind power it was!
cake all round,
then my turn,
with the bubbly,
careful, do not spill a drop! we chatted the early part of the evening away, after thanking Steve and Kai for all of their hard work in the garden we said our farewells, then feet up for this evenings television, we watched a couple of Midsomer Murders, then for us, we were off to bed.
