is just 45 seconds long,
but what is it all about? you have just watched TV Asahi’s
Zenryokuzaka, which translates to “Full-Power Hill” or “All-Out Hill.” airing
at 1:20 a.m. Monday to Thursday, each episode of Zenryokuzaka is only
six minutes long, including the credits and commercials, amazingly this format
has successfully run for some 15 years on Japanese TV but TV Asahi’s
Zenryokuzaka, which translates to “Full-Power Hill” or “All-Out Hill.” airing
at 1:20 a.m. Monday to Thursday, has a slight change of plan, the show
features a different protagonist every time, usually a young actress, media
personality or entertainer of some sort, and is shot at a different location in
Tokyo or nearby municipalities, with nearly 3,000 episodes uploaded to the
show’s dedicated YouTube channel alone, but it is time for a change, TV Asahi
has announced that this summer they’ll be tinkering with the program by, for
the first time in its history, showing men running up hills as well,
starting with actor Ryosuke Miura, perhaps best known for his role of
Ankh/Shingo Izumi in Kamen Rider OOO, for the full story behind this very peculiar
show have a look here, strange is about the best way I can describe watching
people running up hills, but hey it has a better success and has run longer than many other shows.
