and of course their offspring, referred to as a kid, but what you do not expect is what the zoo director in the
Mexican city of Chilpancingo did, allegedly José Rubén Nava Noriega, is to cook and eat the
kids at a New Year’s staff feast, not only that, Noriega allegedly sold animals
illegally, failed to properly record animal births and deaths, somehow lost
several animals, well I guess some of these happen in some zoo’s but eating the
kids? from the article:
'during Nava Noriega's time as head of Zoochilpan there were
several births that were not registered and false deaths. So far, the
whereabouts of at least 14 species, including a jaguarundi
, are unknown.―a small feline―, a coyote, 10 reptiles, a baby macaw and a
red-tailed hawk. Regarding the deer rescued in mid-January and taken to
the zoo, the authorities reported that it was not cared for
"properly" and ended up dying. "His leg was sutured without anaesthesia and his antlers were cut off," they pointed out at the

“These actions put the health of consumers at risk, because
they were not animals suitable for human consumption,” the Secretary of
Environment and Natural Resources of Guerrero told El Pais Mexico, Noriega denies having slaughtered the four pigmy goats, but
authorities claim that they have enough evidence to prove that he did in fact
authorize staff to kill and cook the animals. The director has since been fired
and is still under investigation, I can imagine the rap sheet, charge, eating kids!
