Blog Posted,

and I was out,

into a grey, wet, rainy day,

the forecast for the next couple of weeks is rain and then, more rain!

the bus was crowded,

not that it mattered,

the inside of the bus was fogged with condensation,

which was still with me as I passed Lewisham market,

at Blackheath Village I passed the florist next to the station,

on one side of the door these Moon Cactus, (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii), were for sale,

on the other side of the door,

these begonias looked nice,

hardly anyone on the platform opposite, both London bound trains having left,

as it happens normally the 10.04 arrives in Dartford before the 10.01, as that train goes on a longer loop to Dartford,

in any event,

I had a 25 minute wait at Dartford,

the similar at Gravesend for the 483 bus, rain in the air,

next a walk up the hill,

and into the nursing home where Duncan lives, the silver birch at the entrance staring to loose its leaves, Duncan as usual was in fine sprits, we chatted about his and Melina's honeymoon in Puerto Galera, in the Philippines, looking at it now I can hardly believe it is the same place, when we were there only one beach had 2 story concrete buildings, everywhere else had just nipa huts on stilts, we chuckled away remembering some of the times we had there, when his lunch arrived we said our goodbyes,

and made my way past the rose beds,

towards the bus stop, grey clouds gathering in the distance,

the bus was still difficult to take photographs out of, but passing this bee garden on the roof of one of the bus stops looked nice and green,

I stayed on the bus past Beckenham Green,

alighting by Lidl,

where they had a few potted plants for sale,

as well as cut flowers,

shopping finished, into the park, where it was still drizzling with rain,

Diana had beaten me home as she was on early shift, it was soon time for a read and a sherry,

and a cheers!',

for tonight a huge piece of salmon each,

followed by a old favourite, bread and butter pudding,

eyes down and tuck in! after which it was time for BattleBots, which we followed with an Endeavour which was on normal television, next a change to ITVX for a Midsomer Murder, after which Diana was off to bed as she has another early shift tomorrow,

for myself a couple from World War II in Colour, the series was first released in 2009 on British TV. It combines original and digitally colorized footage, some of which had never been seen before, with Robert Powell narrating the entire series, fascinating, after which I too was off to bed.
