I was out,
and driving to Grange Garage in Hainault, the car was booked in to have the break pipes replaced as they were corroded, as it happens I was a tad early, but I preferred to be in the car here reading a book than stuck in a traffic jam at the Blackwool tunnel if I left later, as it happens a car delivery truck arrived,
and was going to unload a few cars, firstly the car on top of the cab swing down alarmingly, well it seemed that way to me,
then the rear car was unloaded,
one off,
two off,
and there they go,
for their pre-delivery checks,
the cars that were on the top were now lowered, I guess so that the trailer was not top heavy,
and the car above the cab put back to where it was,
by now the garage was open, so keys dropped off,
and into the café for my breakfast,
a bacon sandwich with a mug of tea, £5.00, back to the waiting area in the garage where after a couple of hours all was finished, £486.00 later and I was on my way, luckily the traffic was light, arriving home it was my turn for the bins this week, so out with them, they will be emptied tomorrow so I will bring them back to the bin store then, in the afternoon I had a read of the days papers and took my medication, which I totally forgot about this morning!
after watching a couple of quiz shows it was time for a read,
and a shepherds pie for my evening meal, 'Cheers!',
then out, for a walk past the green, in the distance,
a chestnut tree, full of flowers,
I arrived in Penge, I was meeting Steve in the Moon & Stars, opposite a sight which is becoming more common on so many high streets, shop after shop boarded up, we chatted away, the pub full with so many people out on a warm Friday evening, after saying our goodbyes we made a move for our homes,
a walk past the graveyard and I was home, shortly afterwards Diana arrived so time for a coffee, before we were off to bed.
