I Woke A Bit Late Today,

with a bit of a hang over, so straight on with the blog it was all Jay's fault, it was his birthday, but first during the day we watched a few DVD's and had a game of Monopoly again, I will not say who won, but Diana lost,
but on to the evening, Mike very kindly called round to pick us up, and we were off to the Wild West Saloon,
some of the girls strike the pose,
Diana and Riza with two friends from the band,
'Cheers!', from the boys,
Rick the owner called over to say Hi,
and birthday Boy Jay had a cake to celebrate,
and we all sang a rousing chorus of 'Happy Birthday',
a few more friends called in to wish Jay all the best,
Precil, Riza and another friend here to wish Jay all the best,
Precil having a great time,
then it was time for Jay to belt out a few numbers,
meanwhile the girls strike the pose,
'Cheers!', from me,
not to be out done Mike then went up and belted out not two but three numbers, I decided to spare everyone from my singing so I opted out!
whilst there a friend of Jay and Precil's called over, Clive from the Mulligans bar by the lake on Soi Siam Country Club Road,
then we were off to our next port of call the Boomerang Bar,
mind the water outside!
the theme behind both bars we visited is that they have a Filipino band playing,
and attentive waitresses,
which gives the girls a few friends to talk to,
whilst we, the boys, can get on with the serious stuff, 'Cheers!',
the group were as usual surprisingly good,
birthday boy and Precil,
then Jay decided to show us how good he was at dancing,
then it was tequila time!
and another,
one more for luck!
in case you forgot we were here,
Diana looking as lovely as ever,
then the group played a few more numbers,
till it was time to go with a birthday kiss, by now it 04.00 in the morning, far from being the last customers the bar was still packed, but for us it was time to leave, many thanks to Jay and Precil for inviting us and for Mike to be the sober one and drive us, so home to 388 and we were off to bed,
during the day we watched Wallace and Gromit in 'A Matter of Loaf and Death' Wallace and Gromit have a brand new business, the conversion of 62 West Wallaby Street is complete and impressive, the whole house is now a granary with ovens and robotic kneading arms, although business is booming, Gromit is concerned by the news that 12 local bakers have 'disappeared' this year, who will be next?
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, was next, bit of a long title but I guess some one was making a point, the film covers the last months of Jesse Jame's life, from meeting Robert Ford, a 19-year-old who idolizes Jesse, to the day Ford shoots him, Jesse's a wanted man, living under a pseudonym, Ford wants to be somebody and wants the reward, on April 3, 1882, things come to a head: Jesse is 34, Robert 20, Ford becomes famous, a slow but enjoyable film,
to round of the DVD's, an old but favorite end of the world film, When Worlds Collide, I remember watching on television as a kid, but of course it was black and white as we did not have a colour set, or maybe they were not available then, but in any event one to remember, now I am going to lie down, my hangover head ache has returned!
