We Had Yet Another Day Of Rain,

so we stayed in and played another game of Monopoly,
which Diana won, then for our evening we took the Secrets taxi,
to the China Garden, in Soi Lengkee, we were the first there except for Mr. Tony who joined us for the meal,
at the rear of the restaurant is the see through kitchen,
the chef had spent 8 years or so in the UK, so the food is as you would expect it to be if you like UK Chinese food,
'Cheers!', from me,
every time I turned around one of the chefs had a wok with flames leaping from it, the trouble is that every time I picked up the camera the chef had moved on to some thing else,
after Peking duck with pancakes the food arrived, special fried rice, beef curry, prawns with vegetables and beef chow mien,
Diana as beautiful as ever,
we had nearly finished our meal,
with a few glasses of wine and a couple of sodas the bill came to just on 1,100 baht for the three of us, as some one once said, 'we will be back!',
Mr. Tony very kindly gave us a lift home,
in the day we watched Waterworld, the polar ice caps have melted, and the earth is covered by water, the remaining people travel the seas, in search of survival, another disaster movie, not only the subject of the film but I believe that one of the sets was destroyed by a hurricane, it was panned in the US, but did much better overseas, still it did pick up 4 Razzie Awards including worst picture, worst actor (Kevin Costner), and worst director, with Dennis Hopper winning the award as worst supporting actor,
then another film we had watched before, Galaxy Quest, the sci-fi television series Galaxy Quest, which took place aboard the intergalactic spaceship NSEA Protector, starred Jason Nesmith as suave Commander Peter Quincy Taggert, seventeen years after the show last aired, it lives on in the hearts of its rabid fans, but the show was also watched by aliens who now want the team to help their planet, great fun and games, then for us we were off to bed.

Hi Stan & Diana, First Class Blog as ever.

So much rain there at the moment though!

Do you know what the weather will be like in July in Pattaya?

Dear Mocha Joe, the bad news is that it was raining again yesterday and as I write this it is again today, but at least without yesterdays thunder, the rainy season here is from May/June through to October, have a look here,

http://thailandforvisitors.com/east/pattaya/practical-information/weather.php

for a monthly look at rainfall, the good news is that the rain storms tend to be fierce but short, so at say 08.00 in the morning I have written the day off, by 10.00 there is nothing but blue skies, but it still might rain again in the afternoon, for us we avoid going out when it is actually raining unless we are in the truck or take a taxi, but once outside if we are on the bike it is not a problem coming back wet, if you see what I mean, best regards, Stan and Diana.
