I Love Old Motorbikes,

and cars for that matter,

but this is one I would not buy, but some one will, it is a Brough Superior Black Alpine 680 and will be sold to a enthusiasts who hopefully will restore it to it's former glory, the current owner bought the bits in 1960 with the intention of restoring the machine, but never got round to it and the parts have stayed in his shed ever since, the history of the bits, confirmed by The Brough Superior Owners Club shows that the bike is genuine, meaning a value of £35,000 has been placed on them,

Ben Walker, head of classic motorcycles at Bonhams, said: 'the rarity and desirability of this bike means enthusiasts will pay what seems like a lot of money, but it is a project and a fully restored bike could fetch between £80,000 and £100,000',

fully restored this is what one would look like, this one sold by the US arm of Bonhams in November 2005, a 1931 B&D Black Alpine 680 that went for $43,700, would I like one? when it is finished!
