The Air Condition Service Team Were Due At 10.30,

so you can imagine my surprise when they arrived at 09.00!

the now defunct old unit was taken down,

a new compressor was fitted to the one our friend had given us,

the backing plate fixed to the wall,

 the new one ready,

and fitted, the price for the job was 6,000 baht for the new compressor, plus 2,700 to take the old one away and fit the new one, it is a 18,000 BTU unit, all prices were agreed before work stated,
in fairness I was expecting to be billed for the previous days work, the brazing, trying to stop the leak with a bitumen patch, etc, the team had spent the whole of the previous day running around,

but I was surprised to be told that the price was as said and that there was no charge for the previous day! you could have knocked me down with a feather, so if you need any air conditioning work/servicing done give this company a call and see what they say,

next stop HomeWorks, our second washing machine was giving us warning of its near death, the first one had died a few years ago, so off to buy another one, there are lots of garden ornaments outside the store, 13,900 baht for a Samsung, to be delivered Saturday/Sunday, Diana knowing that we were thinking of buying a new television we have been saving up for over the past 10 months or so thought it was a bit unfair,

in her mind I was getting a new television and surround sound system, she was getting just a new washing machine, so I bought her a Hoover made by LG, so that's alright then, (I nearly told her about the ladders I have ordered for her for Christmas, it is a bit unnerving watching her balance on a couple of chairs when she changes light bulbs),

after a quick visit to see Slim Jim our next stop was to the market,

for some of those delicious plums, now down to 80 baht a kilo from 150 last week,

home, shower, then off to the night market on Thepprisitt, unlike last week clear skies,

I stopped here to buy some spare bulbs for our bedroom night light, 3 for 20 baht, then disaster, the battery on my camera failed, typical, I now have 4 batteries for it and I still managed to forget to bring a spare!

there was a small stage opposite the bar this evening, advertising the StarDice Pub,

thankfully the music was not too loud, it was pleasant to watch the girls and boys from the club go through their numbers, then home, our evening meal, feet up and watch a DVD or two,

so for this evening a couple more from New Tricks series 8, Setting Out Your Stall, in 2009 market trader Kathy Green died after drinking drugged coffee, the UCOS team suspect but cannot prove a link with Anthony Gunnell,a man who raped women after doping them with coffee from his refreshment van, followed by Moving Target, psychologist Samantha Gerson comes to UCOS to carry out a work study on older men, I think we can see how that is going to work out! then for us off to bed.
