The UK Government Referred To As Whitehall Has A Scheme To Save Expenses,

it was launched by Labour in 2004

huge projects for government departments and their quangos are to share back-office functions - including human resources, procurement, finance and payroll have resulted in massive savings, the National Audit Office has found that the initiative has so far saved taxpayers a whooping £159million, well done Whitehall!

but there is just a teeny weeny catch, the figures were looked into by the all powerful National Audit Office and then it came to another shocking conclusion, to save the £159million Whitehall spent £1.4billion over the past seven years, nearly nine times more than the so-called efficiency savings they made, I often wonder if shows like Yes Minister are based on true stores, looking at this farce for the British taxpayer I have to conclude they are.
