Exploding Blu-Tack!

who you gonna call?

Myth Busters, as the song goes, it appears that when Blu-Tack is stuck to glass it explodes as it reacts with glass, well that is the claim made by officials in the private firm that runs the primary school in Perth and Kinross, Perthshire, the petty penpushers ordered that the children’s artwork be removed from the windows, so take the claim to the Myth Busters, 'Health and Safety' is often incorrectly used as a convenient excuse to stop what are essentially sensible activities going ahead, the Health and Safety Executive has set up an independent panel - the Myth Busters Challenge Panel - to scrutinise such decisions,

the Myth Busters ruled: 'whatever the reason for banning Blu-Tack, it is not on health and safety grounds, the manufacturer’s website makes clear that the product can be used on glass, we see no reason why the children’s creative work should not be displayed for everyone to enjoy,' common sense at last, another 'myth' that has been shattered is the one about banning kids from playing conkers, some schools appear to have banned conkers on ‘health & safety’ grounds or made children wear goggles, or even padded gloves! if you want to read the Top 10 H & S myths have a look here.
