Cars Seem To Be A Feature Of Today's Post,

first an original,

I can imagine the patter from the auctioneer, 'nice little runner, only 2 owners from new', which is quiet a surprise when you think that the car was made in 1903, it is a Vauxhall two-seater 5hp, originally ordered by for Vauxhall managing director Percy Kidner on November 6, 1903, it then passed to its second owner in April the following year and has remained in the family’s ownership ever since, auctioneers Bonhams' Tim Scholfield said, 'the vhicle is a ‘historic landmark vehicle', the director of the Bonhams UK motor car department, said: ‘We believe it is the oldest surviving Vauxhall, which makes it a very important motor car and a great addition to what is shaping up to be a fantastic auction at our flagship salesroom in early November', guide price? up to £80,000,

I mentioned at the beginning of the post first an original, well now for a copy, a good one though, take a battered old 1965 Ferrari 330 GT, which was worth a not inconsiderable £80,000, spend another £300,000 renovating it and what have you got? a copy of a £22million Ferrari 250 GTO, do I like it? yes, though to be fair I would have preferred the original Ferrari 330 GT restored to as it was when new, but hey I would be happy with either!
