The Fence Is Finished At Last!

Diana painted the last part of it today,

so tomorrow we will start on the house lights and security grills,

we watched a DVD in the afternoon also Mark called round for a coffee and a chat, then in the evening it was glad rags on, Diana took this self portrait of us before we left,

 a quick pose outside,

Diana looking as lovely as ever,

then we were off, we do not normally go out on a Tuesday,

but the restaurant we enjoyed so much the last time we were here, Le Bordeaux closes on a Wednesday hence the change of evening,

 Diana and Mr. Tony outside,

the bar is on the right as you walk in,

there are 3 seating areas, inside with or with out air conditioning, or outside,

we started with a complimentary amuse bouche,

Diana went for a parma ham salad,

and very nice it looked too,

 'Cheers!',

both Mr. Tony and myself went for the garlic and parsley mushroom sauce mussels, great way to serve them, two under each lid,

 both Diana,

and myself went for the rump steak, and good it was too,

Mr. Tony went for some thing we had not seen before,

a duck shepherds pie, which was served with a side salad,

after a break between courses the desserts arrived,

Mr. Tony ordered the delight profiteroles, orange sorbet, hot chocolate au Grand Marnier,

 Diana had profiteroles,

whilst I went with the chocolate suzette,

then a few complimentary rich chocolates, what a way to round off a perfect meal,

then it was home and feet up for a few television programmes,

in case you want to try Le Bordeaux, this is their card,

and map, it is just a short walk from TukCom,
and new since our last visit they are now open for breakfast/lunch,

in the afternoon we watched Ravenous, set in the early pioneer days of the west, a stranger who has spent three months lost in the mountains arrives at the fort, the stranger, played superbly well by Robert Carlyle steals the show, which descends into murder and cannibalism, as the fort they are staying and the subsequent march has a viper in it's party, also worth a mention is the great atmospheric music that played in the movie, by Damon Albarn (of British band Blur) and Michael Nyman, but back to the evening, as it approached midnight we said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony and for us we were off to bed.
