I Know Many Councils In The UK Are Becoming Anti Cars,

if you look at their parking restrictions and so called 'traffic calming' measures,

but now even pedestrians, people in wheelchairs, on mobility scooters not to mention parents with pushchairs are now being discriminated against, in favour of cyclists, all of the above in Stevenage, Hertfordshire are being marginalised by the footbridge markings,

Luke Pygle, 26, a salesman from Potters Bar, said: ‘You would have to be pretty slim to walk within the lines, people with prams cannot fit inside the lines and mobility scooters are also struggling going over',

but Herts Highways has defended the confusing lines, saying they are meant to prevent those on bikes from crashing, a spokesman said: ‘the lines are correct and placed within the current rules and standards',

a pity the council did not think things through, but here is my solution to halt the danger of a pedestrian being clipped or worse run over by a speeding cyclist, get the cyclist to walk over the footbridge, the clue is in the description of the structure, footbridge, or is that too simple?
