I Know Nothing Stays The Same Forever,

but one thing I always thought would,

is kids playing as I did in the street outside or near their homes, but not any more, Caidence Leadbetter, three, appeared to have been accused of antisocial behaviour while playing outside her house in an official letter sent to her startled parents, two of her friends – seven-year-old Ellie-Louise and sister Isabel, four – also seemed to be implicated,

the police officer who sent the letter, PCSO Allan Cameron wrote to the children’s parents telling them there had been reports of ‘a rise in antisocial behavior, He described ‘minor damage to trees and trampling of plants underfoot’ by ‘large groups of children’ as ‘slightly intimidating to elderly neighbors and said the council would be informed about any subsequent damage, Supt Kevin Doyle said the letter was ‘a general reminder’ and ‘not aimed at any family in particular', but Ms Cox said her girls and Caidence were the only ones to play in that area of the neighbourhood,

Ellie-Louise and Isabel’s furious mum Claire Cox, 30, said she was stunned by the letter which she also received, the shop assistant said: “I’m totally shocked, the letter implies they are not being looked after properly and could be given ASBOs, I’m lucky I live in a road where they can safely play outside and I encourage them to play out as much as possible', a spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said the force takes “anti-social behavior very seriously because of the negative impact it can have on our communities”,

a pity the police officer did not have a quiet word with the parents first rather than sending a official letter, but then I am quite old fashioned in that way of thinking, so I guess that to avoid any further outbreaks of anti-social behavior modern day parents should keep their kids chained to the television or computer screen, after all the police do not want them upsetting the neighbors!
