Today I Decided To House The Fly Trap Plants,

that we had bought in Chatuchak market,

so a pot to put them in, moss, some coconut husks, the three plants and water that had been through our reverse osmosis machine,

I filled the holes at the bottom of the pot,

with a couple of pieces of plastic and put a layer of coconut husks in the bottom of the pot,

and then added the RO water to the sphagnum moss,

the reason for the moss is that any type of fertiliser even in soil will kill the fly traps, also they like damp conditions, so the moss helps, also water from the tap has impurities that can kill the plants, hence the RO water,

the moss comes in packs like this, I bought this pack at the weekend plant market that is almost opposite the Bangkok Pattaya hospital, from memory it was 140 baht,

and then all finished, will they grow ?

who knows but I have done the best I can for them,

 next stop Friendship,

we had some shopping to do,

I waited outside and took a couple of pictures of the shrine,

although it was not a market day the car park looked quite busy,

on the other side of the car park,

work is going on where a furniture store once stood,

I still find it amazing that all of the supports for the shuttering are made of branches of wood that have been nailed together,

next stop a open air market,

 for some fresh vegetables,

and there were plenty to chose from,

also some fresh pineapple for this evening,

and a couple of bags of mussels for tomorrow, in the foreground are cockles,

in the evening on with the bar-b-q,

 garlic rolls and baked potatoes,

followed by kebabs made of prawns wrapped in bacon with a wedge of pineapple between each one,

served with a glass of medicinal red wine, delicious,

 next course,

 Diana had marinaded some chicken,

 which was cooked to perfection,

which along with the baked potatoes and home made satay sauce, with a cucumber and onion dip made the meal complete,

or so I thought, unknown to me whilst in Friendship Diana had bought some strawberries and fresh cream,

a nice ending to a lovely meal, we stayed outside for some time then after going indoors we watched a couple from Columbo, then for us we were off to bed.
