Where I Used To Live,

in Beckenham, South East London,

it was not unusual to see flocks of parakeets that had established themselves in the wild, but it must have been a surprise for the controllers at The Highways Agency, which looks after England’s core road network, to witness one starring back at them, the picture was taken on the M6 in Staffordshire, at 11am at Junction 16 for Kidsgrove by the Highways Agency, which monitors the motorways, who then put the picture out on Twitter, spokeswoman Pragati Baddhan said: 'We think this little chap was trying to ‘tweet’ us',

there of course many other birds and animals which have successfully colonised in parts Great Britain, not to mention crabs, deer and terrapins.
