so I played cactus,
I decided to plant into bigger pots,
some of the seedlings,
and there were lots of them,
I also took a couple of cuttings from Diana's stinky cactus,
as they were getting a bit big for their pot, all done then downtown to pick up Diana,
we drove past the now demolished building that once housed a number of Middle Eastern restaurants and the Coyote ago-go bar, that leads on to Soi Blues Factory, it appears all of the bars opposite it will be demolished in the next few months including the famous Champions ago-go, it is rumoured that a shopping mall will be built there,
opposite the destruction site a new restaurant has opened,
this is what we had come to town for,
some seafood,
crabs,
and prawns,
and some shellfish,
we decided against this one,
but bought a kilo of these,
large prawns,
we decided against any fish, a kilo of crabs plus the other bits and pieces should be enough for the three of us,
weighed and paid,
and we were on our way,
if you want to buy any fresh seafood the stalls are at the far end of Walking Street, the new Bali Hai building here on the left,
we then called into a local market,
a quick look at some of the stalls,
ducks ready to go,
a hello from the owner,
and he is back to work,
a dessert for Diana,
a look at some sausages,
and some pineapple to snack on,
a final look at the market,
and it was on with the barby,
sparks and smoke,
then just smoke,
and more smoke,
the prawns had their whiskers removed prior to cooking,
by now the barby had caught,
and was just right,
so a starter of mussels and oysters with soy sauce and some vegetable,
then on with the prawns,
which were cooked to perfection,
tonight Riza joined us,
the crabs were steamed,
then time to tuck in, I decided to do all of the fiddly work first and peeled a few prawns then ate them,
what a feast we had, and to round the meal off what better than some Ocelot chocolate,
all the way from Edinburgh in Scotland, we chatted the night away, after saying farewell to Riza it was indoors for a couple of Antiques Roadshow's and we were off to bed.
