I ran out of pots,
so off to the weekend plant market to buy some, to find the market if you are leaving Pattaya to go to Bangkok as you pass the Bangkok Pattaya hospital on your left take the next 'U' turn and the market will be on the left, there is lots of parking space behind it, the Bangkok Pattaya hospital in the background,
we made our way through one of the aquatic stalls,
the instant waterfall feature company was there,
it has been so long since our last visit,
but many of the stall are still here,
like this one with butterflies on wire,
that also sells miniature gardens,
in the distance,
these pots looked different,
and they were, I wish I had hair like that, well not green of course,
waterlilies aplenty,
we made our way to the end of the first aisle,
where the larger trees and palms are sold,
and past the garden ornament stall,
I fear in a few years time my hair will be like this chappie!
for some reason teeth braces have become de rigueur, even
the sheep have them!
we passed some trained trees,
looking like bonsai but much bigger,
a few more garden ornaments,
and orchids,
I walked past the cactus stall without making a purchase, I still have so many to repot at home,
more waterlilies,
and airplants,
lots of orchids as you might expect,
and a different take on concrete tables and chairs,
the bromeliads were in flower,
we had come to the end of another aisle by the food section,
plenty to chose from,
we ordered 2 iced coffees,
and for Diana a papaya pok-pok,
whilst all of those were being prepared we went to the pot section,
and these were what we were after, some 6" or so plastic pots,
then back to the truck,
for a selfie,
we had hardly arrived home before it was time for our bar-b-q, chicken and sweetcorn soup for our starter,
garlic bread for a middle course,
then lite up the barby with smoke,
and sparks,
and on with the chop and potato,
Ta-Da!
for dessert strawberries, and I have to say these were some of the tastiest locally grown ones we have had, we listen to music till the midnight hour, then for us we were off to bed.
