With Summer Just Around The Corner,

what could be better than sitting outside in the evening,

and sipping a beer or medicinal red wine, what could possibly go wrong? well your choice of outdoor light for one thing, all of those pesky insects attracted to the light bulbs you use outside are more than just annoying, some of them bite! enter Mike and Teresa Justice who are behavioral ecologists who conducted a study concerning the types of light bulbs that attract the most and least amount of insects, all summer long the couple changed the type of bulb and used controls for variances such as moonlight exposure and weather, the grand total at the beginning of winter when the study finished was 8,887 bugs collected, the types of light bulbs used in the study were incandescent, CFL, halogen, LED with cool color, LED with warm color and standard bug lights, so which is the best for not attracting bugs? warm-colored LEDs, so to make your summer evenings as bug free as you can according to this trial these are the bulbs to go for.
