Ollie Is Doing Well,

at the police station,

now that he has been rescued and dried out, police in Newport, Shropshire, UK. were called out on a report of an injured otter on the side of the road,

the police rushed to the scene of the distressed animal, as otters are protected under Schedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, you breaking the law if you: capture, kill, disturb or injure otters (on purpose or by not taking enough care) of one, so it was with some importance the police acted swiftly only to find that the 'otter' was a fake fur collar that had been discarded, it appears that Ollie has settled in well and shows no signs of wanting be returned to the wild.
