IKEA A Few Days Ago,

announced they were getting into the transport world

they reasoned that some people might be put off of owning a bicycle due to maintenance and mess, like oiling and replacing a rusty chain, the furniture retail giant recently introduced its new 'Sladda' bike, which uses an oil-free and corrosion-resistant drive belt rather than a metal chain, the drive belt is designed to last about 9,320 miles (15,000 kilometers), which is about two to three times longer than a typical steel chain, according to Ikea, it also has a neat system to attach accessories to the bike such as a basket, a bike bag rack and a towing trailer, the bike was designed by Oskar Juhlin, Jan Puranen and Kristian Eke from Veryday design studio, two things you should know about the bike, firstly it comes as a flat pack, you build it yourself, secondly it will cost about $750, not the cheapest bicycle on the market, but with it's no mess belt drive it will appeal to many, and no I am not on commision!
