We Had A Busy Start To The Morning,

as arranged the bugmen called,

and sprayed the inside and outside of the house,

 then we were off,

we were about even when Nick caught one of the lakes larger inhabitants,

normally we have to change tackle and tactics to catch one, but this one took the bait Nick was using to catch the smaller fish,

like this one that I caught,

 as Nick was unhooking,

and releasing the monster that he had just caught,

we then caught one of the smaller fish that was of an eating size, and here it is after a trip to the lakes kitchen,

then a surprise, in the second visit running we caught a sucker mouth catfish, or pleco as it is often referred to,

this is what I wrote when Nick caught one on our last visit here, 'having said that the name plecostomus has now virtually disappeared as we know it, as the sub-family Plecostominae is no more and plecostomus is now considered to be a synonym of Hypostomus, but this particular specie is I think Pterygoplichthys pardalis (Castlenau, 1855), another member of the pleco group, over here and indeed in many parts of the world the fish has become a pest after escaping or being released in to the wild',

a closer look at it's sucked mouth, used for rasping algae from rocks,

we continued fishing and had a few nice one to take home,

if you fancy a day out the Paifon Fishing Park is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sukhumvitt, once in the Soi go over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see a big pink building on the left where we normally turn right into the old fishing park, do not turn right, keep going until you see Soi 24 and turn right, there is a 7-11 on the corner, continue for about a mile it is past Soi 14, the concrete road comes to a strange cross road, take the one with the sign (above) on it and the park is on the left hand side, and the score for today? I caught 15, Nick caught 5,

we called in at Nick and Maureen's for a coffee, after thanking them we were on our way home,

 where much to our delight,

 the angelfish had spawn again,

and were busy seeing off the other fish that look at their eggs as caviar!

after our evening meal we decided to watch a film rather than The Crown series we had been watching, titled Gangster Squad, all very predictable, as usual the good guys prevail, despite all of officialdom except one against them, and with that we were off to bed.
