Early This Morning,

we are off to Bangkok,

where we will be booking in to the Marriott Hotel, and in the afternoon we will be visiting the Temple of the Dawn, Wat Arun, in the evening we will be dinning in the hotel for their International buffet, then on Friday we are hopefully up and away, to good old Blighty, yes we are moving back home to the UK.
For various reasons we have decided on a new chapter in our lives, for the past several months we have been preparing to make the big move, getting a settlement visa for Diana, and for her to visit her family, and arranging for a shipping company to move our bits and pieces, were just three of the things that have been going on.
We will continue with our blog, but we will not be posting for more than several days, as the flat we are moving into does not have Internet or any other connection for that matter, so arranging for these services to be put in place will take some time, then it will be a massive game of catch up on the blog as to what we have been doing, as you can imagine we have got to buy pretty much everything, from a bed to a tea spoon!
Thailand has been great, over the past 10 years or more that Diana and myself have stayed here we have had a wonderful, time and hopefully the UK will be even better!

Best wishes for you and Diana in the UK. I must admit I am more than saddened by your leaving but understand fully why. I remember meeting you over 20 years ago and you were/are my oldest Pattaya acquaintance and glad to say friend. Love and best wishes on this next step. David

Dear Zorro, I hope you have as good a time as we did in Thailand, and yes it is a big change here! but even though it is cold, wet damp and miserable we are enjoying the UK so much, best regards, Stanley and Diana.

Dear David, yes it was a sad decision for many reasons, not the least for leaving good friends like yourself, but as one of Diana's favorite sayings from the UK's House of Cards,'nothing stays the same forever' and of course nothing does, but hopefully on one of your UK trips we can meet up, I sincerely hope so,best regards, Stan and Diana.

Hi Stan, it's been awhile since I last looked at your blog, so you can imagine my surprise to find you've moved.

For the last three years I've been in Sydney where I'm primary carer for my mum who has dementia.

I wish you and Diana all the best in your new adventure and hopefully one day, our paths will cross again.

Wishing you and Diana a Merry Christmas.

Cheers, TQ2 Alf.

PS. My phone number is the same as before so feel free to send SMS so we can keep in contact if you wish.
