We Had A Quirt Day,

Alex popped in for a coffee and a chat,

in the afternoon, then in the evening we were out,

walking towards Thepprasit Road, passing the big screen at the end of it,

just before the market, some one rang the bell for the baht bus to stop, so I decided to get out as well and have a look at another market,

just before the one we normally go to,

 it is the secondhand market,

where you can buy of manner of secondhand goods,

 next,

a short walk to the main market,

a few customers in the food and drinks section at the beginning of the market,

my favorite stall here, with natural minerals and worked goods for sale,

the fruit seller doing his rounds,

 looking towards Jomtien,

 slightly hazy,

looking inland clear skies with just a hint of cloud in the distance,

the toy stall all set up and ready to go,

and new for this week, Christmas head bands,

and they make them in pink as well!

although difficult to see opposite the bar this evening one stall selling clothes for adults, the one next to it with children's clothes,

the rain covers over the escalators that were there last week have been removed,

work has continued on the upper floor

the fruit stall ready for business,

 and the wicker stall open,

 with a kimono for sale,

I made my way to the pet aisle,

and along to the aquatic stall where the ever happy stall owner said hello,

today he has dispense with his sales aquariums and is selling fish in a bag,

 sunset over the market,

I made my way uphill looking back towards the work over head,

and made my way to the bar,

some shoppers looking at the stalls opposite, Brian sadly has gone back to work in America,

so it was just Diana and myself at the bar,

drink over we made a move for our evening meal, and walked past the Sketch Book Art Cafe, we have been there before, and if you go to the link when we last visited it, you will read that on that day, 12th. August, my camera decided to go on strike, and now on the 11th of November, it is still on strike, the word every time I telephone or call in to NumChai where it was sent to Panasonic it is always the same comment, '3 - 4 weeks waiting for spares' they should have said in August 3 - 4 months!

 we continued our walk,

passing one of the hotel shrines,

to the arch leading to Jomtien beach,

and this is where we were going for our evening meal, as we opened the door we were assaulted, by a frightful noise, we did not know it was a live band night, unfortunately bar and restaurant owners are not on the same planet as us, if we want to listen to a band we go to a concert, or a live music bar or pub, by the same token if we want a romantic meal for 2 we go to a restaurant that does not have a band belting out music, so we voted as usual with our feet,

 and ended up here,

and to be truthful we were both at the end of the meal so glad we did, for starters, masala poppadoms,

 'Cheers!',

on to our next course, onion bhajis,

 which were delicious,

main courses, lamb on a sizzling skillet,

 aloo gobi,

 chicken tikka masala,

 and pulao rice,

 another 'Cheers!',

 what a feast,

so it was eyes down and tuck in, what a good stroke of fortune that the band was on tonight, if not we would have missed this Indian meal which was first class,

arriving home it was feet up for dessert, and a Magnum, we watched a couple of Crime and Investigation, and then for us we were off to bed.
