Great News,

our camera was ready for collection!

it seemed ages ago that I dropped it off at the NumChai Service Centre, well it was ages ago, I dropped it off in mid August as it happened, so it took two weeks of August, all of September, all of October and 3 weeks into November for it to be repaired, every-time I telephoned or called in it was the same stock line, '3 - 4 weeks waiting for spares',

but the good news was that it is here now, just a good job my living did not depend on my camera to put food on the table! first shot above of one of the staff at NumChai,

and if you are wondering what 7,000 baht of spare parts and labour look like,

this is it, at today's rate £165.90 or $212.13, the next time it goes wrong I might think about throwing it and buying a new camera! whilst I picking up the camera and running a few other errands, Diana was in town looking around the market, after our evening meal Alex called by for a wine and a chat, he and his family had been away for a few days, after saying our goodbyes it was feet up,

for a marathon session of The Last Ship, season 4, the Keystone Navy were at it again, just a small example of the comedy, entering a cave known to have the enemy inside, keeping totally quiet the team from the Nathan Jones switches on all of their electric torches and shines them as far as possible in to the passage way in the cave, letting the enemy know exactly where they are, a few hundred yards away! but it was not a problem, the enemy never looked behind them to see the origin of the torch beams of light, we are so going to miss this humorous series when it finishes, so with a laugh and a chuckle we were off to bed.
