For Some Reason,

the rock at the front of the aquarium,

has become covered with coral sand,

it took me a while to find the culprit,

and here he is at the rear of the aquarium, the royal gramma, (Gramma loreto),

I syphoned the coral sand of off the rock and gave the aquarium a water change,

I then went upstairs to play with a infrared photograph I took when we were in York, above as it appears out of the camera,

 colour swapped,

more colour added along with an improvement in structure and detail,

next a tad overboard with colour,

 black and white,

and finally an old fashioned look,

Diana finished work early this evening,

so a glass of sherry to start our meal,

for tonight a selection of cheeses and pickles,

'Cheers!', we were talking of our trips to Paris and how much we enjoyed them, well not so much the part of one where we were physically attacked by striking workers, but for the rest of the time we had great fun, and here we were eating French cheese and listening to one of my favorite French singers Josephine Baker, (1906 - 1975), I say French although she was born American, at one time when she returned from great success in France to America she was meet with such a hostile, racist reaction she quickly returned to France, crestfallen at her mistreatment, upon her return, Baker married French industrialist Jean Lion and obtained citizenship from the country that had embraced her as one of its own, but she was not just a singer, during the Second World War Baker did work for the French Resistance, and made other major contributions to the war effort, at the war’s end, Baker was awarded both the Croix de Guerre and the Legion of Honour with the rosette of the Resistance, two of France’s highest military honours, America's loss France's gain!

 and here she is,

in perhaps her most famous costume, bananas!

one of her wonderful songs, De temps en temps, (from time to time), not to everyone's taste, but for myself, this song and many others are superb!

to round the evening off the last of our Christmas pudding, with ambrosia custard, next feet up for the Christmas special of Mrs. Browns Boys, with the end of that we were off to bed.
