normally Sunday is her day off,
so for myself a couple of hours listening to Just a Minute, great fun,
when Diana returned home it was time for a sherry and a read,
as it was late straight in with our main meal, gammon ham with gravy for Diana,
sans gravy for myself,
eyes down and tuck in from Diana,
'Cheers!', from myself,
time for a Fortune cookie,
our messages, as John and Alley mentioned, add the phrase "in bed" after the message for a fun meaning!
rum and raisin ice cream for dessert, then feet up for a mini TV series,
World Without End, in England the civil war ends in 1327. King Edward II has been deposed, with a push from his scheming French wife Queen Isabella, elevating their son Edward III to the throne, in Kingsbridge, a wounded knight going by the name of Sir Thomas Langley arrives with a Big Secret; he seeks sanctuary by becoming a monk at the local priory, chronicling the late Middle Ages, the start of the Hundred Years War against France, the devastation of the Black Death, the corrupt machinations of the Church and the peasant uprisings against royal tyranny, we watched the first 4 episodes back to back, and enjoyable they were too, after which we were off to bed.
