Another Day Of Only One Post,

as first thing this morning I will be going to the garage to have the car MOT'd.

back to Wednesday, out to the bus stop, where I meet up with Steve, today we were both going to visit Duncan,

we arrived in Blackheath in no time, as it happens the florist had not yet opened,

so we called into a cafĂ©,

where Steve ordered a almond croissant to go with his coffee,

it was huge,

onto Blackheath Village station, in time for the 09.31 to Gravesend,

arriving at the station and bus hub,

we soon caught the bus and were walking uphill,

to the nursing home where Duncan stays,

whilst there a squirrel called by and I happened to have some peanuts, which he liked,

as he called back for a few more,

no fox today, Duncan was in fine sprits and really appreciated Steve calling by, we chatted away, remembering some of the scrapes the three of us got into when visiting Thailand, after saying our farewells just before lunch we caught the bus and then the train to Blackheath,

where the florist next to the station had opened,

and was putting on a good show,

arriving at Copers Cope Road bus stop Steve and myself said our goodbyes as we both walked to our homes, as it happens I beat Diana home, so a coffee and a chat when she arrived,

in the late afternoon we watched We're No Angels, a delightful comedy, a really nice Christmas story, with a bit of a edge to it, shortly before Christmas in 1895, unapologetic convicts Joseph (Bogart), Albert (Ray), and Jules (Ustinov) escape — along with Albert's pet viper, Adolfe — from the infamous Devil's Island prison in French Guiana. After dodging search parties, they seek refuge in the shop of Felix Ducotel (Leo G. Carroll), who is struggling to make ends meet under the overbearing supervision of his cousin Andre (Basil Rathbone). Given the spirit of the Christmas season, the trio decide to assist Ducotel, his wife Amelie (Joan Bennett), and their daughter Isabelle (Gloria Talbott) the only way they know how, next a couple of quiz shows before our evening meal,

a quick 'Cheers!, before our meal,

as this quarters Kew magazine arrived I started reading that,

before Diana served our meal,

a chicken carbone for Diana,

bangers and mash for myself with a couple of those delicious sausages from Villagers Fine Sausages in Beckenham High street, then one from Bond,

Live and Let Die, dated I know but great fun, even if the censor cut this version to pieces, we rounded off the evening with A Touch of Frost, before we were off to bed.
